The Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association, Nevada Restaurant Association and Nevada Hospitality Foundation announce the fifth annual statewide scholarship and school-to-career fundraising event, the Nevada Hospitality Scholarship Ball on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mardi Gras Ballroom at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The event will kick off with a reception for leaders in the industry, educators and government officials. Invited dignitaries include: Michael Bartlett, Senior Vice President of the national Hospitality Business Alliance, Jack McLaughlin, State Superintendent of Education; leaders from both the National Restaurant Association and American Hotel & Lodging Association; state elected officials including Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt and hospitality industry leaders.
The Scholarship Ball will award more than 30 scholarships and honor Nevada’s “Educator of The Year,” Claudine Williams, Chairman of the Board, Harrah’s Las Vegas. Proceeds from this event will support continuing education and scholarship opportunities for hospitality students attending Nevada high schools and colleges.
