Arizona Charlie’s West, on Decatur, has a new Executive Chef, Darrel Wayerski, and he’s cookin’ up some new specials that sound mighty tempting and at the right prices too! Currently the Sourdough Café has something called “Surf & Turf Skewers” that includes filet mignon, lobster and shrimp, all grilled to perfection and served on skewers. The $7.99 complete dinner deal is available from 11 a.m. — 11 p.m. daily and includes your choice or soup or salad too. In the upscale Yukon Grille, the current special is a New York Steak with sizzlin’ garlic shrimp served as a complete dinner for $12.95. Both specials are expected to run until at least mid-November and Chef Wayerski promises to keep new and interesting specials coming monthly.

The free-flowing drinks will continue for the fifth consecutive month for casino workers at Ellis Island. Now through November, all casino workers over 21 years of age can drink for free, 24/7 at the casino bars by showing proper casino work I.D. They offer half-price appetizers for casino workers too.

The Castaways “T-Bones-for-Two” offer continues to be a popular meal deal and will be held over through November with increased availability. The $11.95 dinner for two includes two huge 18 oz. T-bone Steaks, a choice of potato, vegetables and a bucket of four bottled beers to wash it all down. Now you can get it seven days a week, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. — 10:30 p.m., and on weekends, (Friday and Saturday) 24 hours. They have also recently introduced a 16 oz. Whole Maine Lobster & Prime Rib Buffet on Saturdays for $14.95.

In other non-food, but good cheap news:

Suncoast has a new Oasis Jazz Night every Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. in the Showroom. There’s no cover charge and well martinis are only a buck! If wine is your thing, they are also serving two glasses of Columbia Crest Merlot for only $5 throughout the evening.

Once again for a limited time, the Sahara is offering Nevada locals 2-for-1 show tickets to Bravo, starring Charo. You must present a valid Nevada I.D. at the box office to receive the twofers. Regular general admission ticket price is $44.95.

Monday Night Football party news continues to trickle in. Texas Station in conjunction with a local radio station, hosts free parties in the Armadillo Lounge every Monday night beginning at 5 p.m. They promise food and drink specials, cool prizes and an 11-foot screen with a video wall of televisions to watch the games.

That’s it for this week! Until next time, “Eat well, play well, stay well!”
