Gators still have enough to nip Dawgs

PITT (+pts) at Virginia Tech: Well coached Panthers come to play every week and give top effort. Double digits and Pittsburgh “D” add up to a point spread win.

MARYLAND (-pts) at N. Carolina: Maryland getting tough on both sides of the ball and can’t afford to let up. Porous Tar Heels defense and an improving Maryland offense point to a big victory for the hot Terps.

PENN ST (-pts) hosting Illinois: State taking no prisoners when playing these weak sisters. Lions should have no problem. Lay the wood!

KANSAS ST (-pts) at Kansas: K-State is notorious for pouring it on over-matched opponents. Will blow KU away if able to get to a big lead early. This is the last weak team for State, which finishes with Iowa St, Nebraska and Missouri.

BC (+pts/under) at Notre Dame: Great game for NBC. Points look like a great take in what looks to be a low-scoring affair. Take the visiting Eagles with points and on the money line in what is an evenly matched game. $$$.

UNLV (-pts) hosting Wyoming: Even the Rebels should find the Cowboys defense to their liking. With few wins and fans this season, the Rebs need one here. Hate to lay any points, but UNLV should let out some frustration.

   S. CAROLINA (+pts) hosting Tennessee: Gamecocks, with a week off to lick their wounds from LSU, will be ready for the Vols. Lou H. as good as anybody getting his team ready with two weeks to prepare. Big upset shot on national TV.

FLORIDA (-pts) vs Georgia: Won’t see no inflated number in Jacksonville as the Gators are not the awesome team of past years. However, Florida has always played its best against the Bulldogs and should covers small number in the ESPN special.

   Last week: 4-4.

   Season: 48-43-1.

NFL

   Sunday, Nov. 3

BILLS hosting Patriots: Bledsoe and Bills want this game in the worst way. Drew should come up with a top effort in front of the sold-out house. Bills eke out a win in a near pick-it game.

BEARS (+pts) hosting Eagles: Great spot for the Bears. Should be a very close game, giving Chicago a chance to pull out a big victory. Money line wager could be in order. Worth a look.

LIONS (-pts) hosting Cowboys: With wins few and far between for Lions. Got to think big effort in store here, against a team they really don’t like in the Motor City. Lions come up with a much needed win.

BROWNS hosting Steelers: Cleveland just foaming at the mouth for this rematch after handing Steelers a 16-13 win at Pitt. Browns finally put it together against their most hated rival.

JETS (+pts) at Chargers: One of the best plays of the week. Chargers coming off bye and may not be prepared for lowly Jets. Week off while celebrating big overtime win against Raiders could spell doom. Should be great bet. $$$.

   Last week: 4-1-1.

   Season: 24-15-2.
