Bloomingdale’s to open home store at Fashion Show

   As part of the Fashion Show expansion, Bloomingdale’s will open its first ever home and furniture store inside the Fashion Show Mall on Nov. 1, which will kick off five days of festivities.

    “Bloomingdale’s is very proud to be entering a new Las Vegas market adding to the success of our existing stores across the country. We recognized the phenomenal growth of this exciting city and are pleased to open our first home and furniture store in this dynamic environment,” said Michael Gould, chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s.

    The store will be classically modern with black glass columns that connect to luminous glass ceilings. The use of both dark and light woods adds depth, while the changeable ceiling lighting can alter the store’s mood or effect. This approachable layout combined with Bloomingdale’s professional associates will make Bloomingdale’s Home and Furniture Store the ultimate shopping experience.

    The 100,000 sq. ft Bloomingdale’s Home Store will feature housewares, domestics, furniture, luggage, table top (china, glass and silver), rugs, a mattress studio and bridal and gift registry. Interior designers will also be available for personalized home decorating suggestions.

    Unique to Bloomingdale’s will be the exclusive Wine Shop featuring items from glasses to wine openers and wine racks for both the seasoned wine connoisseur and the new kid on the block. In the “World of Crystal” shop will be such favorites as Kosta Boda, Waterford and Lalique.  Bloomingdale’s will house a collection of hand blown Murano Glass from the oldest and finest glass houses in Italy, as well as designs from Sweden and all over the world.

    Bloomingdale’s renowned Furniture Department features exclusive collections of dining and bedroom furniture from the finest craftsmen throughout the world. From Provence to 18th century English, all hand crafted from around the world. Bloomingdale’s assortment of exclusive leather sofas and fabric-covered sofas is unique and extensive. The experienced interior designers are available to assist the customer in creating the room and home of their dreams.

    Bloomingdale’s housewares department will also headline an unprecedented gadget department. Customers will be privy to rare and exclusive items such as the 14-karat gold plated Rabbit Wine Opener.  Housewares will feature everything from Cuisinart Blenders and Coffee Makers to the newest retro trends in coffee makers, blenders as well as toaster ovens.
