Doug McPhail has been named director of retail sales for the Tropicana Resort & Casinos. He previously was in charge of retail activities for the Ramada Express Hotel Casino in Laughlin, Nev.
In his new position, McPhail will be responsible for the 23 stores and kiosks at the Tropicana, which like the Ramada Express, is owned by Aztar Corp. (AZR).

Patrick Murphy is the new general manager of the Boomtown Biloxi Casino in Mississippi; Thomas P. Burke is general manager of the Bullwhackers properties, and Humbert J. Sinopoli, will add assistant general manager of the Boomtown Biloxi Casino to his duties as director of finance for the property.
