Rams roll on

Nov 5, 2002 7:44 AM

   Games for Nov. 10-11

Eagles 27, Colts 16: Indy defense hasn’t improved, but still has chance to make playoffs thanks to a weak division. That won’t help here against superior team. EAGLES (-6).

Jets 20, Dolphins 13: Miami on the road again, but this venture is after Monday nighter. NY finding its offense and should score enough. JETS (pick).

Packers 24, Lions 17: The Lions will give Green Bay all it can handle. Packers coming off Monday nighter in even tougher situation. Lions QB Joey Harrington improving each outing. LIONS (+11).

Vikings 23, Giants 20: Minnesota set to atone for wipeout in 2001 playoff game at Giants Stadium. Vikes may not have the guns to do it. Giants are no ball of fire, though. VIKINGS (pick).

Falcons 24, Steelers 20: Michael Vick is not what the Steelers are looking forward to now. Pittsburgh has long list of injuries. Could be a blowout here. FALCONS (+4½).

Rams 31, Chargers 17: The Rams are on the way back. San Diego could be shell-shocked after Jets wipeout. Rams take another step toward a playoff run. RAMS (-6).

Titans 24, Texans 7: The party is over for Houston. Two victories in one year is the quota. Tennessee ready to step it up and continue playoff drive. TITANS (-10).

Saints 20, Panthers 19: The Carolina defense comes to the fore here and within an eyelash of winning outright. The Saints are over-rated. This one is gravy on the mash potatoes. PANTHERS (+7).

Redskins 17, Jaguars 13: The Washington defense bottles up whatever offense the Jags can put on the field. Jacksonville has had its run. Now, it’s Washington’s time. REDSKINS (+3½).

Cards 16, Seahawks 10: Battle of the “Headless Horsemen.” Arizona wins by default. Scoring here will be difficult with these two squads. Could set football back 30 years. CARDS (-3½).

Patriots 24, Bears 13: Chicago has no offense or defense left. New England is ready to assume leadership role once again. PATRIOTS (-3½).

Niners 38, Chiefs 37: Kansas City is ready to put points on the board after a bye week. Niners have more holes on defense and KC will exploit it. Chiefs have tendency to allow points. CHIEFS (+6), OVER.

Jets 27, Dolphins 20: The Dolphins visiting New York at the right time. Jets coming off banner game against San Diego. Miami opened as a slight favorite, but expect Jets to be favored by Sunday night. JETS (+1).

Raiders 27, Broncos 24: The Broncos look like the best team in the AFC, but that will change. At one time the Raiders and Patriots appeared to be the top teams before injuries and other factors game into play. Oakland shines on Monday night. RAIDERS (+4½).
