Horses to Watch

JACKETTE: First time starter trained by Laura De Seroux was squeezed back at the start and got stuck on the rail. Had to swing out for room into the stretch and closed like a freight train to just miss. This will be a very good bet going long on the turf in next. $$$.

COTTON GIN: Bobbled at the start and was chased inside coming out of the 1-hole at Santa Anita. Dropped back on the turn then moved up but had no late response. Look for this 2-year-old colt to run big in next at the right price.

THE BORG QUEEN: First time starter was let go at 37-1 in last, but ran like 3-1. Pulled her way along inside but lacked room into the stretch. Was blocked along the rail and steadied twice. Squeezed between foes in deep stretch to just fly for second. Won’t get 37-1 in next but still should be a good price. Trip players dream horse.

STARSHIP SMOKESTER: Was claimed in last off a poor performance by R. Becerra. High percentage trainer will have this girl cranked for next at boxcars. $$$.

MARINE: Was making a winning move when blocked behind rivals through the stretch. Steadied off heels in midstretch, squeezed between foes late and steadied again to lose by just half a length. Clear sailing in next gets the cash.

BLACK BART: Looked like he was going to make a big move, but did follow through with his rally. Long shot special in next.

ADMINNIESTRATOR: Had a very eventful trip in last and is sitting on a winning effort.

SPECTACULAR FACTOR: Was checked severely behind a fast stopping leader. Angled out to find room, came on again only to be blocked behind the leaders to late stretch. Gamely split rivals to get the place. Huge effort as this girl was so much the best.

MATOS LAND: Was bumped at the start and fell back. Was coming on again into the stretch but got blocked and lost his punch. Will get the right price in next. All you will need is the right ride. Worth a good play. $$$.

BOURGEOISIE: Absolutely made a monster move in last and won going away at 27-1. This girl is feeling good and will move up and repeat at another big price.

CANDY CLOUDS: First time starter was off slow and reserved to the turn, came five wide and rallied willingly for the place. This girl woke up big time in this race and is coming around for top trainer Jenda.

SEA SQUIRREL: Was steadied hard on the backstretch. Rallied four wide and finished fastest for the show dough. Sitting on a winning effort.

NOVEMBER ROSE: Dropped back while racing greenly along the inside as she did not like the rail. Came wide into the stretch and was going well at the end. Outside post in next gets the money at a price. $$$.

INDIAN CARD: Sitting on winning effort at a short price.

AWESOME TIME: Somehow was let go at 27-1 in last. First time starter, trained by Nick Zito, ran a big one to get second. Could just pop in next at a nice price.

JACKS OWN TIME: Had to steady in last to avoid a stricken rival on the backstretch. Made a nice move when able to clear. Will break maiden in next.

SUPRA: Ran a monster race in last. This Florida shipper was close up early and dropped back, but came again to get the win. Will move up and score again at a price. $$$.

CRUSADER JO: Got hung out to dry in last when coming out of the 11-hole. Made a nice move in the stretch to run third by less than a length. Will be picture-taking time in next with a good post.
