In honor of the National Finals Rodeo, Binion’s Horseshoe will host a Binion’s Silver and Family Treasures Giveaway.

Becky Binion Behnen and her son, Benny Behnen, will pay tribute to Benny Binion, who was instrumental in bringing the NFR to Las Vegas.

"My father’s efforts to bring the NFR to Las Vegas were a great success," Becky Behnen said. "People travel from all parts of the nation to visit Las Vegas and participate in the rodeo."

The Binion’s Giveaway drawing will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will be present to open Benny Binion’s vault, where the Binion’s silver and prizes are kept.

"This is a great tribute for downtown," Goodman said. "Visitors and locals alike will enjoy the festivities."

Numerous prizes will be awarded to lucky winners whose tickets are drawn from the drum. World Series of Poker memorabilia, silver and gold tokens, a Steakhouse dinner package, complimentary room packages and NFR leather jackets are a few of the prizes.

Also, three $1,000 casino tokens and a brick of Binion silver are among the vault’s treasure for the lucky winners.

The luckiest winner will be given $5,000 in cash and a ride in the stagecoach of the NFR. Entry blanks are available throughout the casino.

For entertainment a band will serenade the crowd with old country favorites while Becky shares stories of her father bringing back the nostalgia and spirit of Benny Binion.

His daughter, Becky, and grandson Benny will help to draw the winning tickets.

"It will be a night my grandfather would be proud of," Benny said. "He’ll be on stage with us."
