My Super Bowl: Eagles vs Raiders

Here are my conference championship selections.

Eagles 20, Bucs 13: The title clash takes place in frigid Philadelphia in the final game at Veterans Stadium. The Eagles have a definite advantage over the Sun-drenched Bucs. I was not impressed by the decimation of San Francisco. The Niners were depleted by injuries coming off a killer game with the Giants and traveling 3,000 miles to boot!

On the other hand, the Bucs were at home nursing their wounds and having a two-week rest. The Eagles with Donovan McNabb at the helm are too strong for Tampa Bay. EAGLES (—3½).

Raiders 26, Titans 17: Tennessee is almost in the same boat as the 49ers were last week. The Titans come off a hard-fought game against Pittsburgh with no quarter given or taken. There are more than a few nicks and bruises carrying over from that encounter.

The Raiders, with their high-flying receivers darting all over the lot, will have Titans defenders at a loss here. QB Rich Gannon leads the flying circus along with a Raiders defense that will be tough to crack. Oakland wins and gains another Super Bowl with Philadelphia. The Raiders won 17 years ago. RAIDERS (—7½).

Last week: 1-3. Playoff record: 3-5
