Memphis +2½ at LA Clippers: No, these aren’t the No. 1 seeded Tigers from the Big Dance, but these lovable Grizzlies have some value.

Not, they haven’t gone fishing or set tee times like their opponent, the lowly Clips. In fact, the Grizz are 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 and off a stunning victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. We see Memphis perhaps on a similar path to what Charlotte has done on its Left Coast swing. The Bobcats doubled down on its upset of the Lakers with a 3-point victory the following night at Seattle.

More good news for Memphis is the recent offensive explosion, scoring at least 106 points in last five games. The Clips are definitely fair game, going 0-9 in the last two weeks. To see LA listed as a favorite makes our money jump out of the wallet. MEMPHIS.

And, here are some we favor on a lesser scale.

UCLA -6 vs Xavier: The Bruins tend to play close games and Xavier is where no Musketeer has gone before. Focused? I think so. XAVIER.

UNC -5½ vs Louisville: With Ty Lawson finally fit, the Tar Heels are a runaway cover machine. We thought the line would be 7 or 8. UNC.
