NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

N. Dame +12˝ vs Tennessee: The Irish may be famed in football, but it’s been a glorious postseason in sports "under the radar" at South Bend. The Notre Dame women have a chance to follow in the footsteps of the Irish hockey team, which reached the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time ever with a 3-1 upset of defending national champ Michigan State last night.

However, a win here would be monumental. Tennessee has won seven national titles under Hall of Fame basketball coach Pat Summitt. All-American forward Candace Parker is regarded as the nation’s top player and any spread less than 15 points is almost money in the bank for the Lady Vols. Notre Dame doesn’t have the past success of Connecticut, Rutgers or North Carolina (all still alive in the tourney) so this spot looks good to us. TENNESSEE.
