Station Casinos acquisition of the Wildfire Casino was completed on Jan. 27.

John L. James, general manager of the Fiesta Rancho across the street, will also serve as the general manager of the Wildfire.

Matt Olin has been appointed the director of operations for the Wildfire and will oversee the property’s daily operations. Olin has an extensive background in the gaming industry. All Wildfire personnel will retain employment with Station Casinos throughout th transition.

"Wildfire’s unique neighborhood appeal will continue with added features and promotions for even greater value," said John James, adding that new additions include casino industry specials, a paycheck cashing promotion, Wild Cash Weekend drawings, greater Wild Won players club rewards and great food specials (including a half-pound burger special for only $1.99.)

"We’re excited to add the Wildfire Casino to our family of peoperties and see it as a great spot for locals to ”˜hang out’ and unwind," James said.

The Wildfire opened its doors about a year ago on the site of the former Ernie’s, a very popular bar once owned by Mel Wolzinger.
