Sports betting in Las Vegas from the end of football to the start of baseball is a kind-of "no man’s land," in which sports fans bide their time, waiting for something to pique their interest.

Well, sports book director Chuck Esposito at Caesars Palace is doing his part to fill the void by releasing a variety of future and prop bets.

Among the offerings are baseball futures (team to win the World Series, American and National League pennants), home run champion (Eric Karros is 500-1!), strike out champ (Roger Clemens is 75-1), stolen base champ, RBI winner and best relief pitcher (in terms of saves.)

Caesars has also posted a variety of fight bets, for scheduled and non-scheduled events. Among the latter are a possible ÂíLennox Lewis vs. Roy Jones, with Lewis favorted —500 to Jones’ +350.

Another intriguing set of bets include Annika Sorenstam vs. the "boys" in the Colonial golf tournament coming in May.

Some of the bets include Sorenstam’s first sound score (over/under 77.5), her combined score to par in rounds one and two, how she will finish the tournament (she’s 300-1 to win by one to three strokes, and 40-1 to lose by four to six strokes).

There are also some great match-ups, including Sorenstam +150 vs. John Daly —3.5 strokes, and Sorenstam +120 vs. Tiger Woods — 9.5, to name a few.
