There never seems to be a shortage of good deals and special offers in Las Vegas. Sometimes you have to snoop around a bit to sniff out the cheapies. Some people claim that Las Vegas locals are often left out of the good deals and that the Strip casinos only cater to the tourists. Not so this time, with a new offer from the Riviera.
Throughout this summer, Las Vegas locals can purchase two-for-one show tickets to see the all new "Splash." Tickets can be purchased at the Riviera box office by showing a local ID. The two-fers are good for Preferred Seating only at $59.95 per pair. The offer is only good for the two for one admission, and single ticket purchases are regular price. Locals can only purchase one two for one offer per ID. Use the special offer for any show on any day, 8 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. except for Fridays (dark night).
Cheap drinks are available to locals and tourists at the new Toscana Bar at Las Vegas’ newest casino, Tuscany All Suites Hotel & Casino (on Flamingo, just east of the Strip). A daily happy hour takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. when ladies may imbibe for free and men pay half price. The special happy hour includes all well drinks, wine and domestic beers.
If the hours aren’t suitable for you at Tuscany, another good choice for happy hour would be Key Largo, located a little further east on Flamingo. Happy hour runs 24/7 every day of the week and domestic bottled beers are only $1 a pop. They also offer round the clock food specials like a burger and fries platter for $1.99 and daily dinner specials for $3.99.
Ladies get another break at the Santa Fe Station where popular local entertainer, Louie, Louie, performs on weekends in the Green Room Lounge. Ladies just need to show up and they’ll be admitted free of charge while the guys pay a $5 cover. The doors open at 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. The show starts at 10:30 p.m.
When you’re playing downtown, check out Jackie Gaughan’s Western Hotel, which is giving away scratch and win cards for selected jackpots. Every one of Jackie’s Wild Western cards is a winner, from free drinks to cash to prizes to "Jackie Bucks," which can be accumulated, just like Green Stamps, and redeemed for valuable prizes.
Finally this week, here’s one freebie that is available to ladies, men, locals and tourists, as long as you’re at least 21 years of age! The Sahara has introduced an all-new 2003 "Passport to Fun" coupon book or "funbook," as they like to call them in Las Vegas.
The new coupon book is stated to contain up to $200 in special savings to use throughout the hotel. The books are available for free at the main casino cage. Guests will receive great specials like two-for-one drinks at the Thirsty Camel or Bogies bar, blackjack bonuses, retail discounts, and a free margarita with an entree purchase at Paco’s Bar & Grill. In addition, coupons are included for great values at the NASCAR Cafe, Speed, The Ride roller coaster, and more.
