There’s a new man at the top of the Western Division of Park Place Entertainment Corp. (PPE) but he’s not new to Nevada. He’s Anthony Santo, current president of Park Place Las Vegas and Bally’s Las Vegas.

And moving into his spot is another veteran gaming executive, Bobby Yee, most recently the president and chief executive of PPE’s Windsor Casino in Ontario, Canada.

Both appointments, made by Wally Barr, president and CEO of Park Place Entertainment, will take effect on May 1.

Santo spent time in Reno, Nev., as president of the Reno Hilton and the Flamingo Hilton Reno before taking the helm of the Flamingo Las Vegas. In his new post, Santo will oversee operations of a dozen Park Place casino resorts in Nevada, Mississippi, Indiana and Louisiana.

At Ameristar Casinos Inc. (ASCA), Steve Eisner has been named vice president of development. He previously served the company as vice president of legal affairs. Replacing him the legal post will be Greg Cooper.

Barron B. Fuller has been promoted to vice president and general manager of the Miss Marquette Riverboat Casino in Iowa, owned by Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. (ISLE). He began his career on the Miss Marquette in 1995, holding various positions within the operation. Inc. (UBET) has named Victor J. Gallo as its new in-house general counsel. Gallo most recently was with Konami Gaming Inc. of Las Vegas.

Ernest J. Stevens, Jr., a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, has been reelected as chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association.
