Kentucky Derby Party features drinks, food, prizes and a $1,000 cash drawing, of which $500 will be awarded after the race. A $20 Derby wager gets you a drawing ticket and free sub sandwich.

Events Center. People can come for $50. Dial box office at 967-4567. Entitles you to all the food, drink, viewing and betting stations. Watch the races on large screens. VIP betting windows will be available in the ballroom. The celebration includes a continental breakfast, buffet and drinks.
A free T-shirt will be given for every $25 wager.
The Showroom open to public. Tons of TVs. Big-screen TVs. Live betting windows. Complementary refreshments. Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Derby party will be held Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. A free souvenir T-shirt or Derby glass will be given for every $20 wager.
A limited edition Derby pin will be given away with a $20 pari-mutuel wager on Derby day. One per person while supplies last. Race will be shown on four big-screens on the property.
Super Saturday Handicapping Contest, with a $20 entry fee, will offer a giveaway of approximately $11,000 on Derby day if nobody hits the progressive April 26. A $20 Derby bet is worth free mint julep glasses and official Derby merchandise.
A free Kentucky Derby souvenir glass will be available with a $20 race bet. Limit one per customer, while supplies last. Must be 21 years of age or older. House quinella or parlay bets only.
LAS VEGAS CLUB:
Complementary Derby baseball caps. Will set up a 15x15 big-screen inside sports book. Show all the Churchill Downs races.
NEW YORK-NEW YORK
Besides the race book, NY-NY will have VIP seating in the Cabaret Theater with giant large screen TV. Double comp rates all weekend. Race book is located next to the ESPN Zone.
A free T-shirt will be handed out to customers who wager a yet to be determined amount on the Kentucky Derby. Final details from Palms management had not be confirmed at press time.
A free Kentucky Derby glass will be awarded with a $20 wager on big race beginning Saturday at 10 a.m.
Friday losing tickets placed in a drum to win Derby prizes or a $100 voucher to bet on Derby. $20 bets Saturday on the Derby to receive a KD collector’s glass. Limit two glasses per person. $100 vouchers awarded once an hour starting at 10 a.m. until race goes off.
There will be a Kentucky Derby and Pick 6 seminar this Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m. featuring Gordon Jones, Joanne Jones, Patrick McQuiggan and Bruce Finkelstein. Held in the race and sports book. Free to the public.
SANTA FE STATION
Receive an official Kentucky Derby T-shirt, an all-you-can-eat Derby buffet and a handicapping seminar with Jerry J for one $20 wager on the race. The Derby celebration is in conjunction with the grand re-opening of the Race & Sports Book, which features expanded seating, a VIP section, additional betting stations, state of the art TVs with plasma screens and an appearance by the GamingToday Back Page girls. Events begin at 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Doors to the Grand Ballroom open at 8 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Coffee and pastry served until 10 a.m. with a coupon. Beer, soft drinks and hot dogs available until 2 p.m. with a coupon. There will be eight betting stations, four large-screen TVs and 16 big TVs for customers to wager in Ballroom at all major tracks until 4 p.m. At 1 p.m., a souvenir Derby glass and T-shirt will be given away with a coupon to each customer as long as supplies last.
There will be a Derby seminar Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m., featuring Richard Eng and Jerry Jacovitz of Jerry J’s Power Page. The 129th Run for the Roses will be shown in t he Race & Sports Arena. There will be a T-shirt and glass giveaway with every $20 wager.
With a $20 Triple Crown bet, receive an exclusive Triple Crown T-shirt. Also, don’t miss all the great food specials upstairs in the restaurant and the buffet. Located at Paradise and Flamingo Road.
