Finally, proof that booze is indeed the best medicine when the Gin Blossoms and the Spin Doctors perform at the Outdoor Events Center at the Stratosphere at 8 p.m. this Saturday.

Both bands were wildly popular in the mid 1990s ”” Grammy-nominated Gin Blossom’s New Miserable Experience went quadruple platinum and the Spin Doctor’s Pocket Full of Kryptonite produced "Two Princes," the most-played song on the radio in 1993.

Both groups are back together after disbanding in the late 1990s because of the pressures of nonstop touring. The Gin Blossoms are supporting their first DVD "Just South of Nowhere" and the 10th anniversary deluxe re-release of New Miserable Experience.

Tickets start at $25; they are available by calling 380-7711.
