Just how cheap can we get? How about breakfasts for under a buck; a darn good NY strip steak for $3.99; half an oven-roasted chicken dinner for $4.95 or an all day, all-you-can-eat and drink fish fest for $10?

The meal deals at Maddy’s Paddys Café at the venerable Poker Palace in North Las Vegas are hard to beat! Two of the graveyard breakfast specials may be the cheapest of any in a Las Vegas casino. Between midnight and 6 a.m. any day of the week, choose from biscuits and gravy or two eggs, sausage or bacon, home fries and toast for an incredible 79 cents.

An equally outstanding value is the NY Strip Steak dinner special for $3.99. This one is available ’round the clock and comes with choice of potato, a huge fresh garden salad, hot vegetable of the day and sourdough dinner rolls with butter. There are plenty of other specials on the menu, including Monday’s all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner for $2.99.

Marilyn’s Café at the Tuscany Casino is giving diners $2 off on several of its popular daily and late-night specials. For a limited time, two late-night breakfast specials are going for just 99-cents! From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., try the Miner consisting of two eggs, two giant buttermilk biscuits smothered in gravy with breakfast potatoes, or there’s the Farmer, which includes two eggs, bacon sausage or ham, breakfast potatoes, pancakes with butter and hot maple syrup. One of three Âíafternoon and evening specials is the orange-glazed chicken plate. Regularly priced at $6.95, with the $2 off, you can enjoy the complete meal complimented with soup or salad and rolls and butter for only $4.95. Daily specials are served 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Ellis Island Casino & Brewery hosts a once-a-month indoor/outdoor party for all comers. On the first day of summer, Saturday, June 21, it’s their annual June Fest Fish Fry. From noon until 10 p.m. they will feature all-you-can-eat delicious pan-fried fish, cod, perch and catfish cooked to perfection on an outdoor grill for only $10 per person.

The feast includes buttered corn on the cob, hushpuppies, cole slaw, salads and picnic foods. In addition, you can do a little taste testing, as all EIB hand-crafted beer is included in the admission ticket! Get a wristband and come and go all day long as you please!

Until next time, "Eat well, play well, stay well!"
