Antron Adams recently moved to Las Vegas from Lincoln, Nebraska because he wanted a change of scenery and milder weather. The 25-year-old got more than he bargained for when he spent $8 on a bingo session at Boulder Station last week, and won the Jumbo Bingo Progressive in a 51-number coverall for almost $123,000.
"B-1 was the number I needed," Adams said. "When they called the number I jumped up yelling because I knew I had won the progressive. My cousin from South Carolina was sitting next to me and was startled because he didn’t know what was going on."
Adams said he hasn’t fully grasped the win, but he thinks he’d like to vacation in Brazil with some of his $122,731 in bingo winnings.
He began playing bingo at Boulder Station about two weeks ago after he said an older gentleman he was sitting next to playing keno gave him this advice: "Bet small ”” win big."
Nice trick if you can pull it off, and Adams did playing bingo.
Adams is the 25th winner of the Station Casinos Jumbo Bingo Progressive jackpot. Since the game’s launch, over $10 million has been paid to Station Casinos bingo players.
Jumbo Bingo Progressive is a linked game between the bingo rooms at Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station, Sunset Station and Santa Fe Station.
The progressive games are broadcast live to all the participating casinos each day. The sessions are at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. at participating Station Casinos.
