COLLEGE FOOTBALL ”˜101’

Where: Park Place Entertainment Sports Books (Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, Paris Las Vegas, Bally’s, Flamingo Las Vegas / Laughlin, Reno Hilton, Caesars Tahoe.

Total purse: Winners will share a minimum guarantee of $25,000 prize money. Payouts are 1-20th place. First prize is $10,000.

Entry fee: $50 one time fee. Season-long. Non-refundable. Early signup bonus is a pair of tickets to the Rose Bowl. The tickets will be rewarded to each of the top three contestants selecting the most winners through Saturday, Oct. 11. A $5,000 aggregate bonus will be awarded to anyone who selects 67 percent winners for the entire season. If more than one entrant qualifies, the bonus will be divided equally.

First prize: First place is 40 percent of the prize money, second place 15 percent, third place 10 percent, fourth place pays 7 percent, 5th-10th place pays 3 percent, 11th-20th pays 1 percent.

Deadline: Saturday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. Early deadline eligibility is Sunday, Aug. 24 at or before 5 p.m.

Rules: Contest winners will be determined by the total number of points accumulated during the regular season. The contest is based upon picking winning teams against the spread. All spreads will be listed in ½ points. Contestants must select 10 teams per week. The contest is held over 12 weeks with each win worth one point.

COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE

Where: Barley’s, Wildfire, Fiesta Rancho, Fiesta Henderson, Wild Wild West

Total purse: $25,000 minimum.

Entry fee: $25. Limit four paid entries per customer. Purchase of two entries entitles customer to a free t-shirt. Purchase of four entries entitles customer to one additional free entry.

First prize: $1,000 in weekly prize money. A total of $13,000 will be awarded in weekly prize money during the 13-week college football season. The end-of-season prizes include first, second and third place winnings of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 respectively.

Deadline: Signups begin Wednesday, Aug. 13. Check the various sites for the date of final signups.

Rules: Based on 15 college games each week against the contest line. Contestants receive one point for each winning selection. Contestants must be 21 to enter.

ALL-AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONTEST

Where: Boyd Gaming locations (Stardust, Sam’s Town, Jokers Wild, Eldorado, California)

Total purse: $170,000.

Entry fee: Free. Limit one entry per person. Entries must be returned in person. Any person having more than one selection card will be disqualified.

First prize: $10,000 winner take all every week rewarded to the entrant with the most winning selections. Each game ending in a tie will be figured as a win. If two or more entrants tie, the $10,000 weekly prize will be split among the winners.

Deadline: Prior to the start of the first game Saturday.

Rules: Each week for 17 weeks (starting Sept. 6) contestants will select from a list of up to 17 college and pro games selected by contest officials.

LAST MAN STANDING

Where: Texas Station

Total purse: based on 250 entries.

Entry fee: $25 for each entry with a maximum of three paid entries allowed. Contestants receive one free entry with a purchase of three. Must be 21 or older.

First prize: Last Man Standing will walk off with 100 percent of all the entry fees collected, a minimum of $5,000.

Deadline: Registration begins Wednesday, Aug. 13 and ends at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7

Rules: Elimination contest based upon picking one winning team against the contest line each week. Those whose lose on their pick are eliminated. Contestants must select one team from College Football and NFL Football regular season games chosen by management.
