Ga. Tech will be wrecked in Utah

Miami (—28) at La Tech: ESPN game. Canes have lots of questions. Could be in for a real barn burner. Miami only 4-8 ATS last year. Tech not much on defense but can really score. Look for back door cover. LA TECH.

Ga. Tech +3½ at BYU: ESPN2 game. BYU got whacked last year 28-19 in first losing season since 1973. Will be much improved and takes the Rambling Wreck. BYU.

Saturday, Aug. 30

Georgia (—3) at Clemson: ABC regional. Georgia was the winner last year 31-28 in a real dog fight. This game should be no different except for the winner. The Tigers have been a great dog and will start a turnaround with their high-powered offense. CLEMSON, OVER.

Missouri (—3½) vs Illinois: ABC regional. Fighting Illini got hammered last year 33-20 in St. Louis. Same site and another high scoring affair. Like the dog. ILLINOIS, OVER.

Okla St (+8) at Nebraska: ABC regional. Cowboys solid and can really light up the board. Cornhuskers off one of worst seasons. STATE, OVER.

USC (+4) at Auburn: CBS. Both teams loaded and in must win situation. Must take points in real struggle. USC, UNDER.

Colorado (+1½) vs Colo. St. (in Denver): ESPN. State favored to win Mountain West. Always gives best. COLO ST.

Florida St (—16) at N. Carolina: ABC regional. Tough call. UNC 0-7 ATS in last seven at home. State was 1-6 ATS in their last seven games. UNC.

Sunday, Aug. 31

C. Florida (+18) at Va. Tech: ESPN game. UCF has lots of top Jucos and strong in MAC. Tech tough but taking points. UCF.

Louisville (+5½) at Kentucky: The Wildcats are 13-5 ATS in last 18. New HC will have Cats fired up. KENTUCKY, OVER.

Monday, Sept. 1

E. Carolina (+8½) at Cincy: ESPN game. Pirates in revenge mood for 42-26 slam last year. Cincy lost 12 starters. ECU.

TCU (—7) at Tulane: ESPN game. TCU handled Tulane last year 17-10. Will be tough. TCU.
