NFL WEEK 3 SELECTIONS: 4 TO GO

Sep 16, 2003 10:52 AM

Chiefs (-8.5) at Texans: The Texans reverted to expansion form against the Aints after leading at halftime. KC is running at full-throttle on offense, but both victories were home jobs. This is Houston’s home opener so expect a few surprises for Lamar Hunt, whose KC franchise began as the Houston Texans of the old AFL. HOUSTON.

Packers (—7½) at Cards: The Cheeseheads will make this game close to a sellout in Arizona. The Cards are pitiful. How about back-to-back 100-yard games for Ahman Green. The Cards couldn’t score against Holmgren. Now they get Holmgren’s ex- team. GREEN BAY.

Vikings (NT) at Lions: The "over" is 10-1-1 in Detroit. Can’t go against that. Both offenses should move the ball easily. OVER.

Jets (+6½) at Patriots: The home team has lost eight straight ATS in the series. Vinny and Paul Hackett don’t mix and Curtis Martin is not even in the offense. New England got its act together at Philly, but can’t afford a second division loss. NEW ENGLAND.
