Jumbo Jackpots hit for $202K

Sep 30, 2003 2:42 AM

Two big Jumbo Jackpots at Sunset Station awarded more than $200,000 to lucky players.

Lorne Wilson had been playing his favorite video poker game for only 20 minutes last Friday when his Boarding Pass Card triggered the second Jumbo Jackpot at Sunset Station in five days. He was in the middle of a hand when he won $53,984.

On the previous Sunday, another local won the largest Jumbo Jackpot yet for $148,783 while playing nickel Family Feud slots.

"Think of it as increasing the pay line to as much as $150,000 on any machine in the casino —even penny slots," said Steve Cavallaro, chief operating officer for Station Casinos. "As soon as a customer sits down at their favorite machine and inserts their card, their Boarding Pass is hooked into the property progressive that can make them the next Jumbo winner at any time."

There have been 27 Jumbo Jackpot recipients since April 1 at Station Casinos. Boarding Pass cardholders have been awarded over $3.5 million in Jackpot bonus cash and bonus play.

No other card within the Las Vegas market offers chances to win so much for so little.

Launched April 1, 2003, the Jumbo Jackpot Boarding Pass Bonus gives customers playing slot or video poker machines at the company’s six Station-branded properties in the Las Vegas area with a Boarding Pass card inserted into the machine a chance to collect a bonus jackpot of up to $150,000, paid immediately in cash. The Jumbo Jackpot can hit at any time, at any place, regardless of how many coins are played.
