Roy’s condition ‘stable

At press time, the condition of Roy Horn, one-half of the legendary Siegfried & Roy magic duo, remained in critical but stable condition. Doctors reported on Monday they were encouraged by Horn’s ability to move his hands and feet in response to doctor’s requests.

The extent of Horn’s injuries were still not determined, although doctors said that "the more time passes, the better his chances."

Roy was mauled by one of his Siberian tigers during the Siegfried & Roy show at the Mirage last Friday night.

The famed duo has been performing their blend of magic and illusion for more than 40 years in Las Vegas.

Mirage officials announced that the show was canceled indefinitely. The announcement probably marks the end of an era in Las Vegas, an era in which the Magicians of the Century, Siegfried & Roy, ruled the Las Vegas Strip as the hottest production show in its history.
