Mandalay Resort Group has come a long way since its clowns and cleavage origins of Circus Circus.

Mandalay, a leading owner and operator of world-class hotel casinos that also include Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay, is poised to open an new all-suite hotel attached to the company’s signature Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Officials announced last week the new hotel tower, which should open in December, is being debuted as "THEhotel at Mandalay Bay."

"Intimate, comfortable, cosmopolitan. These are, we admit, new words to associate with Las Vegas, but we’ve made them work in a wonderful way," said Glenn Schaeffer, president of Mandalay Resort Group. "Our new all-suite hotel is perfectly configured for both the business traveler, as well as the person looking to leave business behind."

With the addition of THEhotel, Mandalay Bay will remain one property but will offer two completely different resort experiences.

Incorporated into the Mandalay Bay Resort, yet completely self-sufficient, THEhotel will offer all the perks and amenities upscale travelers crave — tasteful decor and hip atmosphere, separate gym and spa facilities, upscale dining options, and large guest rooms suitable for business or entertaining.

And at 750 square-feet, THEhotel’s one-bedroom suites will be among the largest and most luxurious standard hotel rooms in Las Vegas.

THEhotel also will add a new dimension to the tropical-style Mandalay Bay Resort. While THEhotel counters with modern architecture, contemporary design and comfortable surroundings.
