The Stratosphere and Arizona Charlie’s will celebrate the 20th Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships with a $2,500 Twin Quinella, cash drawings and free food on Saturday.

The highlight of the Breeders’ Cup festivities will be a special Breeders’ Cup seminar on Friday, hosted by renowned handicapper Jerry Jackowitz and co-host Jay Kessler, Stratosphere’s race book host and handicapper.

Jackowitz is the founder of Jerry J’s Power Page, one of Las Vegas’ most important speed figure tip sheets for horse racing. His picks are heard daily on Race Day Las Vegas on KSHP 1400 AM.

Jackowitz and Kessler will provide an in-depth analysis of the 2003 Breeders’ Cup races. The seminar will take place in the Stratosphere race and sportsbook starting at 6:30 p.m. Free cocktails and refreshments will be provided to all in attendance. The seminar is free.

"We want to turn all horse players at the Icahn gaming properties into winners," Kessler said. "Novice or pro, the formula is simple: do your homework, be prepared, seek out experts and place your bets at the Stratosphere or either Arizona Charlie’s properties."

The Stratosphere and each of the Arizona Charlie’s casinos (Decatur and Boulder) will feature a special Breeders’ Cup Twin Quinella on designated races with $2,500 of house money. Seventy-five percent of the money will be returned to twin-Q winners. A minimum $2.00 bet is needed for a chance at the twin quinella. If the twin-Q is not hit, the original prize money will be rolled over to Sunday with 75% of the money bet added to Sunday’s pool.

Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder will also feature $500 cash drawings. A minimum $20 bet on the Breeders’ Cup is necessary to qualify with one drawing ticket per person while supplies last. The drawings will he held immediately following the Breeders’ Cup. Entrants must be present to win.

The Stratosphere will host drawings for cash and prizes in-between designated Breeders’ Cup races. There will also be free food available during the races.
