College football
Thursday, Oct. 30

Boise St (—6) at BYU: Boise 5-0 SU and ATS vs Mountain West. BYU unable to put points on the board, except for the one game against San Diego St. Lay the points. BOISE ST.

Saturday, Nov. 1

UNC (+17) at Maryland: The favorite in this series is 12-3 ATS and Maryland is 5-0 ATS in last five meetings. Terps in a must win situation if they want to go bowling. With Virginia and roadies vs NC State and Wake Forest coming up, this is Maryland’s easiest game. MARYLAND.

Michigan (—4) at Mich St: Good spot for State with two weeks rest and Michigan coming off Purdue. State looking to extract some revenge from last year’s 49-3 slaughter at Ann Arbor. MICH ST, OVER.

Tulane (+9) at Navy: The Midshipmen firing on all cylinders. The Mean Green not so mean this year especially on defense, giving up around 40 a game. Navy romps on its way to a nice season and possible minor Bowl. NAVY

Colo St (—11) at Wyoming: Both teams have come on of late. State has really played like they mean business the last three games. Also have a week off to get ready to sweep final four games and go to a bowl. Look out New Mexico, San Diego St. and Nevada-Las Vegas. COLO ST.

Ohio St (—7) at Penn St: The Buckeyes mighty lucky to eke out 13-7 win last year. Will be hard pressed to get a win or cover with that anemic offense. Penn State in Happy Valley gets the job done and extracts some minor revenge. PENN ST.

Georgia (—3) at Florida: The Gators are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in last 10 matchups against Dawgs. This should be low scoring game. FLORIDA, UNDER.

Okla St (+16) at Oklahoma: The Sooners are a great team but this really looks like a Cowboys cover. Okie State is 5-1 ATS in last six vs Sooners and scoring over 40 a game if you take away the conference opener against Nebraska. OKLAHOMA ST.

UCLA (—6) at Stanford: The Bruins are 0-5 ATS as a favorite against Stanford. Points look good again here. STANFORD.

Miami Fla (—3) at Va Tech: Miami barely escaped WVU but VT was not so lucky. That 6-0 record against some real weak teams was really exposed by the Mountaineers. Look for Miami to continue its roll to the National Championship game once again. MIAMI.

UNLV (+8) at New Mexico: Lobos are 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS in their four meetings vs Rebs and should keep that roll going. Lay the points. N. MEXICO.

Cal (+2) at Arizona St: Home team has gone a nice 5-1 ATS in this series. Sun Devils looking to win some games to salvage their season. ÂíARIZONA ST.

Last week: 5-7-1

Season: 59-56-1

Sunday, Nov. 2

Raiders (-1) at Lions: Wow, what a game we have here! These two teams haven’t met since ’96 when the Raiders hammered the Lions 42-0. The old boys at Oakland, off a bye week, will try to reverse a 0-7 ATS mark this year. The Lions have managed just one cover. I like the more rested team. OAKLAND.

Redskins (+4) at Cowboys: Good match with America’s team coming alive this year, owning a 9-1 ATS record vs the Skins the last five years. I will try to stall that streak here with Cowboys coming off tough game at Tampa Bay. WASH.

Steelers (+4) at Seahawks: Seattle has always played well against Pitt and will keep it going here. SEATTLE.

Eagles (—4) at Falcons: The Falcons are coming off a bye but it won’t help as they are 0-5 ATS last five. Will add to that dismal record under the dome. PHILLY.

Last week: 1-1

Season: 17-14-1
