Party it up at
the Hilton on Monday

Nov 4, 2003 12:19 AM

There are so many good Monday Night Football parties that we still have not covered them all. This week we feature the Las Vegas Hilton’s Monday Night Football parties held inside The Night Club.

Anyone 21 and older may join the festivities for the game on big screen projection TV and enjoy food and drink specials, including Miller and Foster’s draft products in 20-ounce team cups for $2. Well drinks are also $2.

They sell hot dogs and corn dogs, chips and popcorn from behind the bar, too. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the Miller Girls give away trinkets and gifts including key chains, hats and T-shirts during the game.

Each week, one lucky football fan wins a cash drawing for $250. You must be present to claim the cash. If it is not claimed, the money rolls over to the following week. Football fans may also register to win a trip for two to the Pro Bowl. Anyone who places a bet of at least $20 on that particular Monday Night Game starting at 5 p.m. in the race and sports book receives a two-part ticket to redeem in The Night Club. One portion of the ticket is good for a free drink at the party, and the other portion of the ticket is for the nightly cash drawing and the end of year Pro Bowl drawing. They accumulate each Monday night’s cash drawing tickets for the year-end drawing for the Pro Bowl.

For burger lovers, try Marilyn’s Café at Tuscany Hotel and Casino. Through tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5, they are serving a half-pound Monster Burger with fries for just $1.99. They often run other good food specials too.

Over the next few weeks many locals as well as tourists will be deciding on where to dine for Thanksgiving. One of the first out of the gate to announce their Thanksgiving specials is The Palms. The resort’s Sunrise Café and Fantasy Market Buffet will be serving special Thanksgiving dishes on Thursday, November 27 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The menu at Sunrise Café will start at $8.95 and will feature smoked turkey, baked honey glazed ham and smoked trout almandine. Each meal will include roast pumpkin soup or walnut apricot salad and choice of pumpkin pie, minced meat pie or pumpkin roulade.

The Thanksgiving Day specials in the Fantasy Market Buffet are comprised of assorted salads, roast turkey, baked honey glazed ham, apricot stuffed pork loin, roast leg of lamb, smoked rainbow trout, roasted duck with orange sauce, butternut squash ravioli, fresh vegetables, sage walnut apple dressing and cranberry cornbread dressing. The Buffet will also feature a carving station with smoked breast of turkey, roasted prime rib of beef, steamed salmon and roasted pork loin. Additionally, the dessert menu will consist of an assortment of cakes, pies, cookies and pastries. The Thanksgiving Day buffet price is $14.99.

We’ll share more Thanksgiving specials with readers over the next few weeks.

Until next time, "Eat well, play well, stay well!"
