Marshall plan works

College Football
Wednesday, Nov. 12

Marshall (+7) at Miami, Ohio: The home side comes off big win over Bowling Green and has one of the top QBs in the nation. Prefer to side with Thundering Herd, even with new QB. Marshall is 5-0 ATS last five vs Miami and able to defeat Kansas State on the road earlier in the season. MARSHALL

Thursday, Nov. 13

Virginia (+6) at Maryland: Terps got hammered (48-13) at Virginia last year but had covered four straight. Revenge motivation and bowl invitation should lift home side. MARYLAND.

Saturday, Nov. 15

Boston Col (—7) at Rutgers: Scarlet Knights having a great year but BC is a dominant 9-2-1 ATS in last 12 meetings. BC.

Indiana (+18) at Penn St: Well Joe Pa, you got someone to let out all those frustrations on. Lay the lumber here. PENN ST.

Minnesota (+6) at Iowa: Hawkeyes on a big run (9-1) ATS vs Golden Gophers. Won’t buck that trend. IOWA.

Houston (—11) at Army: As bad as the Cadets are this year, they still have a lot of fight. Can’t lay those points with Houston on the road. ARMY.

LSU (—7) at Alabama: No looking back for LSU, which needs to win out to get a big BCS game on New Years Day. With a week off, Tigers will be ready to dislocate the Crimson Tide. Road team is 7-0 ATS last seven meetings. LSU.

Rice (—7) at SMU: The home team has owned this series covering seven straight and it looks to continue here. SMU.

Wyoming (+13) at Utah: The Utes pulled out a huge game against Air Force in OT after getting whipped by New Mexico the previous week. With a week off and just two games remaining, Utah will be very focused. UTAH.

UTEP (+40) at Boise St: I really don’t like to go this deep but Boise can name the score and usually likes to on the blue carpet. Lay the lumber in big time blowout. BOISE ST.

NC State (+15) at Florida St: The Seminoles are no longer third in the BCS rankings and the defense must really play with a mission. Can ill afford to look ahead to the Gators next week. Follow the money and lay the points. FSU.

Syracuse (+19) at Miami, FL: The favorite is 9-1 ATS in the series. Look for a blowout. MIAMI.

Kent (+20) at Bowling Green: Battle of two top QBs. Points look great in this game as Kent got slaughtered (45-14) last year and wants to make a game of it. KENT.

Last week: 7-10-2

Season: 73-73

NFL
Sunday, Nov. 16

Giants (+3) at Eagles: This game will be decided by no more than a field goal. Take the points and hope the G-Men get that last field goal. GIANTS.

Chiefs (—6) at Bengals: KC is 5-1 ATS last six and should add to that. CHIEFS.

Rams (—4) at Bears: Last four have gone "under" and this could be another low scoring game. BEARS, UNDER.

Jaguars (+11) at Titans: Tennessee has owned the Jags and will continue to roll. TITANS.

Ravens (+6) at Dolphins: This looks to be another low scoring game, which these two are usually accustomed. I love the Dolphins "D" and think they will be in control. DOLPHINS, UNDER.

Cowboys (+4) at Patriots: Is this the year of the cow? Could be. COWBOYS.

Last week: 2-3-1

Season record: 21-19
