Leaders of the fast-growing meetings and events business that supplies customers to help fill Nevada’s hotel rooms will share their insight into new trends at the 20th Anniversary Governor’s Conference on Tourism at Caesars Palace, Dec. 15-17.
The presentation of the Meetings Industry Panel Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. will examine industry progress and issues that confront both the "buyers," who obtain hotel rooms and meeting spaces, and the "suppliers," who provide them.
"Meetings are a huge industry and the fastest growing segment of Nevada’s tourism market," Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt said. "Nevada’s hotels offer great facilities designed to meet the needs of every size group, and in order to provide the best service, we must keep abreast of trends. The Meeting Industry Panel is designed to help accomplish that goal."
Hunt is chair of the Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT), which produces the conference, one of the nation’s premier industry gatherings. The annual event features speakers and panelists who provide expertise and ideas on current topics that impact tourism.
