Mandalay Resort Group (MRG) last week opened its new hotel, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Although the 1,118-room all-suite hotel looks like a new Mandalay Bay tower, it is in fact a stand-alone hotel serviced by its own lobby, entrance, lounges, café, gym and spa.
Of course, THEhotel has easy access to all of Mandalay Bay’s facilities, including casino, shopping mall, and entertainment venues.
A special feature of the new hotel is its flexible menu of conference rooms on four entire floors. These richly-furnished rooms can be outfitted as private boardrooms, reception areas, classrooms, theaters or anything a business gathering may require.
The standard suite at THEhotel is among the largest of any in Las Vegas, offering 725 square feet of luxury accommodations. Modern furnishings are bathed in rich earth tones and dark woods, and each unit has a 42-inch plasma TV, half bath for guests, private bar, and plush upholstered chairs and sofas.
The separate bedrooms feature 32-inch flat-screen TVs, darkwood armoires, down comforters and pillows, fine linens, robes, slippers and pillow top mattresses.
For the VIP guest, there are an additional 28 suites, ranging in size from 1,500 to 4,500 square feet, located on the uppermost floors.
The new hotel’s gym and spa, the $11 million Bathhouse, is an attraction onto itself. The 15,000-square-foot facility offers the most extensive and innovative treatments, ranging from wraps, masks and mud baths to steam, sauna and whirlpools.
