Record crowds approaching 300,000 people are expected to pour into Las Vegas for the New Year’s celebration.
In addition to outstanding headliner entertainment, many casinos will host extravagant parties, often reserved for their best customers. If you’re not among the chosen few, the Fremont Street Experience traditionally puts on a great "block party."
One of the biggest stars on the Strip will be the $500,000 fireworks show, which is now in its fourth year.
The fireworks display is divided into five acts, including a salute to Las Vegas’ upcoming centennial in 2005, and a three-minute build-up to rev up revelers just before midnight.
No matter where you celebrate, always remember to be safe.
