Tiger lost $100against Tigers

Jan 6, 2004 7:49 AM

Golfer David Toms gave ESPN a scoop, announcing that Tiger Woods made a $100 bet on Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl vs the LSU Tigers. That’s like a French wine coming out in Germany.

Toms is an LSU grad, while Woods went to Stanford, a school with nothing in common with Oklahoma except for the red colors. Maybe that’s it. Tiger loves wearing red in the final round and wasn’t this the BCS national final?

...Speaking of finals, the 2005 Super Bowl odds were released by the Venetian. New England is the favorite at 5-1. Philadelphia, the NFC top choice, is 13-2. See Page 17 for championship odds on all 32 NFL teams.

...At 150-1, I think Arizona is a better bet to leave Phoenix than win a Super Bowl, but then I felt Pete Rose bet on baseball. Come to think of it, he did. It’s a little late Pete, but welcome to the Hall of Shame.
