Devils will ease off
Virginia as big fave

Feb 10, 2004 5:19 AM

Wednesday, Feb. 11

Virginia (+26) at Duke: Blue Devils not interested in blowing out overmatched Cavaliers here as they did in their first meeting at Virginia. Duke must go on the road for two straight to face NC State and Wake Forest. Look for the Cavs to play hard and get the cover against a team that will be looking ahead. VIRGINIA.

Thursday, Feb. 12

Wake Forest (—6) at Clemson: The Demon Deacons will have fire in their eyes after suffering back to back loses to NC State and North Carolina. I’m sure the Deacs are well aware of how the Tar Heels got ambushed at Littlejohn Coliseum. Wake is 4-1 ATS at Clemson in last five. Lay the points. Too much firepower. WAKE FOREST.

Saturday, Feb. 14

Bowling Green (+8) at Kent: Golden Flashes looking great and sitting on top of the MAC East on their way to another 20-plus win season and a trip to the Big Show. Kent handled BG as a 3-point road favorite, and the Falcons are no bargain on the road. Lay the points. KENT

Memphis (+4) at Marquette: Golden Eagles have had huge letdown since win over Louisville, suffering back to back losses to TCU and DePaul. Look for Marquette to get back to their winning ways in front of the soldout 19,000-plus at Bradley Center. MARQUETTE.

Last week: 2-3

Season: 30-18
