Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. ”˜Tis a fine day to enjoy great Irish specials all around town.
Arizona Charlie’s Boulder and Decatur will be serving St. Patrick’s Day food specials all day in the Sourdough Café’s. Try the corned beef and cabbage served with boiled potatoes and baby carrots for just $5.99. Or enjoy the roast leg of lamb with mashed potatoes, gravy and carrots for the same price.
The Irish party is on at Sunset Station for a great St. Pat’s Day celebration. From 5 to 9 p.m. the Gaudi Bar will be serving $2 Guinness, Harp, and Killian’s Irish Red beers, plus $3 corned beef sandwiches and bratwurst. They will be featuring additional drink specials and giveaways including a chance to spin the Lucky Leprechaun Wheel of Prizes.
The Sunrise Café at the Palms will be serving a delicious St. Patrick’s Day menu on Wednesday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For only $10.99 per person plus tax, the special St. Patrick’s Day menu features your choice of three entrees including Buckingham’s Irish Stew, Corned Beef and Cabbage with Horseradish Sauce or Trout with Honey Cream Sauce. Each entrée is served with soup or salad and includes dessert featuring Irish Sherry Trifle.
Downtown, the El Cortez will be serving a traditional Irish Buffet on the holiday in Careful Kitty’s Coffee shop for $9.95 per person from noon to 9 p.m.
The All-American Buffet, inside the Silverton Hotel Casino, gets into the holiday spirit by offering traditional Irish fare on its "St. Patty’s Day Specialty Buffet" menu. From 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, diners can enjoy their favorite traditional buffet items, as well as conventional Irish treats in honor of the holiday. Begin your meal with an appetizer of soup or salad. Try the garlic mushroom soup for a bold bowl of flavor, or sample the potato and leek soup for a taste of traditional Irish cooking. Go for any of the specialty salad selections, like bacon and spinach or Irish potato salad. A smoked seafood display will offer diners a variety of seafood.
For your meal, the All-American buffet offers a myriad of authentic Irish treats. Classic dishes, like bangers and mash, fish and chips and Shepherd’s pie, are staples of Irish cuisine. The Guiness stew offers a hearty meal and roast corned beef with creamy horseradish sauce is a tangy treat to please the palette. Compliment your entrée with sides like potato cakes, boiled potatoes, braised cabbage and bacon or the corned beef brisket. For a lighter fare, head to Barley’s Casino and Brewing Company in Henderson. On St Patrick’s Day, enjoy tall drafts for $1 all day. They will also be serving their popular value priced Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner special in the Brewer’s Cafe from 11:30-10 p.m.
