This is the last week of the Santa Anita race meet, which ends Sunday, and then it is on to Hollywood Park, which opens April 23. In addition, Monday racing in both Northern and Southern California will switch to Wednesdays, as in the past.
As yet, I’m not sure if Monday racing was a success for the tracks or not. We will have to wait and see the final figures.
But, getting back to Hollywood, the approach to handicapping horses that did well at Santa Anita, but have not raced at Hollywood will be wait and see. Initially, the focus will be on those that have run at Hollywood and done well.
Saber’s Daily Horse Selections will cover the races at this Southern California strip.
