Milwaukee Brewers at St. Louis Cardinals -135 (8½ total)

The Cards are off to a tremendous, and somewhat unanticipated, start, having won six of their last seven home games en route to their perch atop the NL Central. They dispensed with the Brewers Tuesday night, 6-1, and there’s no reason to think they can’t do the same with Adam Wainright on the mound tonight; Wainright is arguably the Cards best pitcher, and has a 2.14 ERA in two lifetime starts against Milwaukee. Toeing the rubber for Milwaukee will be Carlos Villanueva, who was roughed-up a bit in two starts this season (4.76 ERA), but has pitched well in the past against the Cards (2.7 ERA). The Cardinals are priced right in this one and both starters appear capable of pitching relatively deep into the contest, making the "under" a possible play. CARDINALS -135.
