Barrick Gaming’s Plaza Hotel & Casino brings Las Vegas veteran Joey Villa to the Center Stage restaurant in four weekly performances. Show times are 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Villa has been a staple in the diet of countless comedy lovers since the birth of the Las Vegas lounge era. Performing for luxury cruise lines and hot clubs like the Copacabana, it became inevitable Villa was destined to become a comedic legend.

Villa launched his Las Vegas career at the Tropicana with Benny Goodman. His tireless energy and sharp wit quickly propelled him into sharing the stage with superstars such as Frank Sinatra.

But Villa wasn’t just a natural at winning over the audience, but other celebrities as well. Villa became close friends with Frank Sinatra, and best friends with Jilly Rizzo, Sinatra’s personal assistant and bodyguard. Whether on stage, a celebrity charity event, a celebrity roast, or just hanging around, Villa could be found with some of the worlds top entertainers.

Villa has also appeared in several films such as The Entertainers, Eternity and Heat with Burt Reynolds.

In addition, Villa’s heart is as big as his talent. He has many charities that are dear to him like Cast, Inc., a nonprofit entertainer’s charitable organization. He also runs the Two Talent Agency, a comedy booking agency in Las Vegas.

In this age of nouveau comedy, Villa gives the audience a rare glimpse of classic Las Vegas entertainment in every sense of the word. His excellent timing and roasting comedic style never fails to bring the laughter to a roar.
