Jerry’s Nugget comes through with yet another monthly special that goes easy on the wallet and great on the plate! The Canal Street Café is featuring an 8 ounce New York steak and pan fried shrimp meal deal for just $5.49 throughout the month of May. The special is served Sundays through Thursdays; from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Start the meal with your choice of home-made soup or a fresh, crisp garden salad. Side dishes include your choice of whipped or baked potato, French fries or rice, plus a selection of garlic or French breads.

The Loose Trax Bar at the Wild Wild West Gambling Hall is currently offering 22 ounce draft beers served in a logo mug for $4. Keep the mug as a souvenir gift. Refills are only $3. Enjoy the draft with some of their terrific 20¡ wings! The casino also runs free $500 video poker tournaments every Wednesday and free $500 blackjack tournaments every Thursday. Both tournaments run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The only requirement is that you must have a Wild Card (slot club card) to participate, which, of course, is free to join.

Fiesta Rancho is promoting several new food specials including an overnight "Express Breakfast Buffet" served in the Baja Beach Café. The buffet is presented nightly from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. for $3.99 per person. During the day and earlier evening (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.) they switch to an "All-You-Can-Eat Pasta, Soup and Salad Bar" for the same price. Also, while Garduno’s Restaurant and Cantina is no longer open for lunch, they are serving dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Two-item combo meals are served for just $6.99.

Closer to the Strip, good graveyard deals are also appearing at Tuscany Casino on Flamingo. A traditional bacon and eggs breakfast is just 99 cents or the ham and eggs special is only 60 cents more. You can also grab the "Monster Burger" for $1.99 or "All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti" for $3.99. The hours for the late night specials are 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

On to entertainment: The Aladdin’s swanky Curve Lounge begins a free jazz concert series starting this Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. The early summer line-up includes the following performers:

May 12, Jimmy Sommers

May 19, David Van Such

May 26, Darrin Michaels
