Two for Tuesday Pros

May 18, 2004 7:00 AM

East semis, Game 6

Pacers (-4½) at Heat: This series resembles the 1960 Yanks-Pirates when New York kept blowing out Pittsburgh, yet couldn’t put the Pirates away. Indiana has three double-digit wins at Conseco, but two losses at Miami has the Heat thinking a possible Game 7.

Miami has been outstanding at home, but awful on the road. The Heat fans will be going nuts, but something tells us that Odom, Wade and Butler don’t want to travel for another hit. INDIANA.

Last week: 1-1

Season: 34-24

East finals, Game 5

Flyers at Lightning: The Flyers are riding the talent and heart of Jeremy Roenick. Each team has had its way over the other in what has lived up to all the billing. So far goalie Esche has held his own against the Buhlin Wall.

The Lightning owned the best record in the NHL. Lecavalier and St. Louis will come through in must win game. A loss sets Philly up to supply the kill in Game 6. Expect a Kate Smith "God Bless America" rendition (on tape). TAMPA BAY.

Last week: 1-1

Season: 29-29.
