A Memorial Day "can’t be beat" special in Las Vegas takes place at Ellis Island Casino & Brewery, which will honor the holiday with its annual weekend picnic to be held on Saturday. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink festival style event runs from noon to 10 p.m. and is only $10 per person. Stop by early for brews and good eats, get a wristband and come back later in the day for more.

Guests visiting the Palms Casino Resort on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 will receive special deals during their visit. The Fantasy Market Buffet will offer a half-price buffet to all guests, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is regularly priced at just $5.99, lunch is normally $6.99 and dinner is regularly priced at only $11.99. At half price this is a cheap lover’s delight!

It seems that the Atkins Diet is for real and no longer just a fad. Fast food restaurants and casino restaurants all over town are adding new low carb menus for their diet and health conscious diners. Both the Palace Café and Pasta Palace at Palace Station have added new low carb menus with entrees starting at just 4.99. Santa Fe Station’s newest restaurant, the Grand Café offers the same specials. Sunset Station features dieter’s delectables at Costa Del Sol and Ristorante Capri Italiano with complete dinners staring at just $12.99.

In other Station’s news, Sushi & Sake at Green Valley Ranch Station is serving all-you-can-eat sushi nights for just $26.99. And Texas Station continues "Endless Pastabilities" at San Lorenzo with all-you-can-eat pasta for $6.99 Monday through Thursday, or $9.99 Friday through Sunday. The specials include your choice of minestrone soup or a salad plus all the pasta you can eat.

At Station’s Fiesta’s, Amigo Club members can save a buck off the buffet prices by presenting your club card at the daily lunch and dinner buffets, plus brunches on Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re not a member, sign up; it’s free to join and you’ll save a dollar at either Fiesta Henderson or Fiesta Rancho.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day.

Until next time, "Eat well, play well, stay well!"
