Rocker Joe Cocker would have been proud ”” for a half.

While most of the betting public were involved with Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the transplanted and bloody good British fans filled up the Crown & Anchor (Trop and Maryland) to capacity for the Euro Cup.

This was the place to hoist a few brews for the Union Jack against the hated French.

"The only reason we like the French is because they’re paying $20 to get in," said C&W manager Mark McGarry. "I believed we had a great shot at beating the best team in the world."

To satisfy all the customers, McGarry sent the overflow to nearby venues. Spirits were high, but alas the second half. Final: France 2, England 1. Well, at least the food was good
