An excursion to take her grandchildren to the movies at Sunset Station proved profitable for Jo Ann Argyris who, on June 26, become the second Las Vegas area local in five days to win the $1 million grand jackpot on Aristocrat Technologies’ Millioni$er, a four-level mystery progressive game with a static top jackpot of $1 million in Nevada.

"We always play while the grandkids are at the movies, and this time I thought I’d give Millioni$er a try after seeing the woman on TV who won a million earlier this week," said ÂíArgyris, a self-employed resident of Boulder City.

Argyris, who had never played Millioni$er before, had invested about $200 when she won the top award. "I screamed — a lot — and yelled ”˜I did it, I won a million!’" Argyris said.

The grandmother of four, who describes herself as "happily single," said that she plans to use her winnings to pay off her home mortgage and take her family on a cruise vacation.

"One of the most exciting features of Millioni$er is that the top prize is triggered by each game individually, so the $1 million jackpot can be won anytime, on any Millioni$er-themed game," said Sean Evans, general manager of gaming at Aristocrat Technologies.

Like Aristocrat’s other Hyperlink products — Cash Express and Jackpot Carnival — the Millioni$er features a patented second screen feature with four different jackpot levels that can be triggered randomly during game play. Millioni$er offers a static top jackpot of $1 million in Nevada and $500,000 in GLI jurisdictions due to GLI jurisdictional requirements.

The Millioni$er Hyperlink feature is available on four Aristocrat MKVI base video slot games — Flame of Olympus, Geisha, Spring Carnival, and Wild Africa.

Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies designs and markets casino management systems, progressive systems, and progressive jackpot meters.
