Now that Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. (HET) has completed its purchase of Jack Binion’s Horseshoe Gaming, the company is cherry picking some of the latter’s top talent, selecting two executives for its Central Division.

Named division vice presidents were David Carroll, to head the area’s human resources department, and Chris Corrado as top marketing exec for the district.

Carroll, who brought 30 years experience with him, became part of Binion’s team in 1997 after spending some of his career with Southwest Airlines and Mattel Toys. Corrado held marketing positions with KPMG, CASS Communications and Northwest Newspaper Corp. before joining Binion’s in 1999.

Both vice presidents will report to Anthony Sanfilippo, Harrah’s president of the Central Division.

In another Harrah’s appointment, Michael O’Hagan was named vice president of Harrah’s Operating Company, a subsidiary of Harrah’s Entertainment. He has held executive positions with Harrah’s at their operations in both Reno and Lake Tahoe, Nev.

A pair of promotions have been announced by Caesars Entertainment Inc. (CZR). Robert G. Conover was named special assistant for strategic initiatives, while vice president of information systems Carol Pride was named CIO.

And, at Inc. (UBET), Thomas E. Chaffee, who previously was a member of the board of directors of Ladbroke USA, was appointed as director of international business development.
