Details: Pick 5 games each week against the spread. Choose one top selection (worth 2 pts). Other four each worth 1 pt. Highest score at season’s end wins. 2nd place worth $100,000, 3rd : $75,000, 4th: $50,000, 5th: $25,000. Must be 21. Prizes may increase if entries exceed 100.

Details: Friendly Frank’s 27th annual football contest is based on ties win, no points, no handicaps. Early Bird parties are held at Gold Coast, Orleans and Suncoast on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 5:30 p.m. 2nd place worth $50,000, 3rd: $25,000, 4th:10,000, 5th: $5,000. Next 300 winners get $1G each. $30,000 in weekly cash prizes with a $10,000 winner guaranteed.

Details: Second place worth $10,000 with $4,000 going for third and $1,500 to fourth. There will also be $20,000 in prizes awarded per week. A single $10,000 prize goes to the contestant picking the highest number of winning games each week. An additional $10,000 will be split among those contestants picking the second highest number of winning games each week. Must be 21.

Deadline: Sept. 12, 9 a.m. The standings will appear weekly at www.myfootballfrenzy.com.

Details: At the end of the season, $50,000 will be awarded to the 100 entrants with the best overall record of wins. Fans can score $250,000 in cash and prizes during the Frenzy. Each person allowed a maximum of two paid entries. A stadium cooler bonus gift will go to anyone that purchases two entries. Must be 21 and be an Amigo Club or Football Frenzy cardholder. ALL AMERICAN

FOOTBALL CONTEST

Where: California, Eldorado, Fremont, Joker’s Wild, Sam’s Town, Stardust

Total purse: $170,000

Entry fee: Free. One entry per person.

First prize: $10,000 winner take all each week.

Deadline: Sept. 11, 9 a.m. (tentative).

Details: Each week for 17 weeks (starting Sept. 11), contestants will make their selections from a list of 17 college and pro games chosen by contest officials. Any player turning in more than one card will be disqualified. Ties win contest. If two or more entrants share top honors, the first prize weekly amount will be split between the winners. Cards must be turned in prior to the start of the first game.

 

THE HILTON

SUPER CONTEST

Where: Las Vegas Hilton

Total purse: $525,000 (based on 350 entries)

Entry fee: $1,500

First prize: $210,000. The top 20 contestants will win cash prizes.

Deadline: Sept. 10, 1 p.m.

Details: Those persons that enter before 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 are eligible for a $10,000 early signup bonus. To win the $10,000, contestants must have the best record over the last three weeks (15-16-17) of the NFL regular season. The contest begins with the games of Sept. 9-12. "This is the ultimate contest for both serious players and beginners," said Jay Kornegay, executive director of the LV Hilton SuperBook. "We’re looking forward to an exciting season."

 

PRO FOOTBALL

CHALLENGE

Where: PT’s (all 27 establishments)

Total purse: $100,000

Entry fee: free parlay cards

First prize: $100,000 in cars and cash. Additional prizes include a $5,000 giveaway to the player with the most winners picked for the season, $2,500 for the player closest to 50 percent wins and 50 percent losses, and $2,500 for most losses overall.

Deadline: Check with PT’s locale.

Details: Cards will be distributed to guests once a week beginning Sept. 6, allowing them a chance to pick the Sunday NFL winners. Every PT’s location will award $100 to the individual with the most wins each week. The 27 winners for the week then qualify for a 2004 Saturn Vue. The drawing will be held at the end of every month during the football season.

 

PICK’EM AND WIN PRO FOOTBALL CONTEST

Where: All Leroys outlets

Total purse: $85,000 to $100,000 approx.(season)

Entry fee: Free. Each customer is allowed just one entry. New entrants may join the contest during any week.

First prize: $5,000 aggregate per week. Goes to the person with the most correct selections each week. In case of ties, the money will be divided equally.

Deadline: 9 a.m. prior to the start of the games listed on the card. During preseason, each contestant must turn in the selections one hour prior to the start of that week’s games listed on the contest card.

Details: Weekly selections. Entrants are not required to turn in cards each week. The contest does not use point spreads. In case of a tie between teams, both selections win. Must be 21.

 

THE ELIMINATOR

Where: Bally’s, Paris Las Vegas, Reno-Hilton

Total purse: determined by total entrants

Entry fee: $50 for 17 weeks. Must win each week to advance

First prize: Winner take all. Top prize split equally if tied.

Deadline: Saturday, Sept. 11. The contest is open until the first Monday night game starts.

Details: Pick sides (vs spread) or totals ("over / under") for college for NFL. Allowed minimum of five entries per person. Park Place Entertainment will select 20 games that include college and pro teams and/or totals each week against the point spread. Entrants must pick only one team or total per week. There are no ties. Begins with first NFL games and ends with Super Bowl or until just one contestant remains.
