Watch for home team covers trend in NFL

You may have noticed a trend in the NFL preseason towards home teams winning and covering the number.

The margin was an impressive 15-4-1 until this past Saturday when the hosts only managed to go 6-6 ATS. Still, 21-10-1 works for me. Week 3 is usually the one where teams play their starters the longest. Best on the board should be the annual battle in New York between the Jets and Giants. The Jets had covered 11 in a row against the G-Men in a row until last year. Look for another streak to start, expecially with Chad Pennington looking so good last week vs. Indy. "

”¡ My buddy Rocket reminded me about his "under" trend for teams traveling coast to coast after playing the day before. It was 20-2, which isn’t too shabby. Monday, three games involved teams heading East to West. All three lost. Back to the drawing board.

”¡ An offshore book came out with odds for which country in the Olympics would have the first athlete fail a drug test. China was the 5-1 favorite. Greece won at 30-1. USA was 8-1.
