The Monterey Room at the Gold Coast has offered one of the best steak specials in all of Las Vegas. It’s a huge Texas T-bone that includes potato, onion rings, Texas toast, baked beans and a 16 oz. draft beer. The price has recently increased, up a buck to $9.95, but still is an excellent "cheap" special. It’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Have your buffet and slot points, too at Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson. On Labor Day, dine for only $5.99 in the buffet and get a whopping 5x points in the casino. Talk about your labor of love!
We recently reviewed several "free pull" machines available at various Las Vegas casinos. The Tropicana has changed its offer slightly. Previously the top prize was a cruise. Now Tropicana guests have a new top prize — a free chance to spin the reels to win some hot new wheels, a new 2004 Ford Mustang convertible that is currently on display in the Tropicana courtyard. To win, visitors need to line up three Mustang symbols on the lucky payline. One free pull machine is located under the gazebo near the Tropicana’s main casino entrance. The other is located on the MGM walkway. Both machines are in operation from 8 a.m. to midnight, daily. The Mustang is the grand prize, but certainly not the only prize. Other prizes include slot tokens, free buffet certificates and free show tickets. Plus, every pull is a winner. Each player receives free admission for the Casino Legends Hall of Fame, showcasing the world’s largest collection of rare and fascinating Las Vegas gaming memorabilia, and a deck of playing cards.Until next time, eat well, play well, stay well.
