Perks for clubbers

Membership has its privileges. Slot club membership that is. Just for being a member of the Connection Club (Bally’s, Caesars Palace, Paris and Flamingo), guests receive discounts at many of the top restaurants in town. No gambling is required! In addition to a 10% discount at Paris’ Le Village Buffet (often touted as one of the top five buffets on the Strip), the following restaurants also offer the same 10% discount. At Bally’s, Johnny’s Deli, Java Coast, Nosh, Big Kitchen Buffet and the Sidewalk Café; at Paris, Provencal.

The Bally’s discounts are available any time, but both Paris outlets honor 10% off on Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Most of the hotel-owned gift shops and stores inside each hotel also offer a 10% discount on many items.

Station Casinos (Boarding Pass) and Fiesta’s (Amigo Club) also offer $1 buffet discounts to card carrying members. Just present your card to the cashier prior to paying for your meal. The gift shops offer 10%-15% off (varies by location) by presenting your card for most merchandise excluding food and tobacco items.

The Mandalay Group (Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, Luxor, Slots A Fun, Excalibur, Circus-Circus) offers 10% off for One Club members in most of their retail owned stores.

Need a cheap hot dog fix? The Las Vegas Hilton has a $1 hot dog cart set up in the Superbook (Race and Sports Book) during football games.  Condiments include mustard, ketchup, relish and onions.

You can also get a great dog at the Gold Coast for 75¡ from the cart in back of the race book.

Celebrate Jerry’s Nugget’s 40th anniversary with a prime rib dinner special for only $5.49. The Canal Street prime rib special is being served Sundays through Thursdays, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. throughout September.

Finally, Barley’s Casino and Brewing Company’s Free Fall Concerts have returned. On Friday, September 17, The Limey Bar Stewards with Lez Warner (former drummer with The Cult), play classic rock by The Who, Stones, Clash, Kiss, Tin Lizzy, Sex Pistols and more. Friday, September 24, David Van Such Band performs smooth jazz from national recording saxophonist David Van Such direct from his engagement at the Sahara Hotel.

Follow up on Friday October 1, with Ken Levine and Jump Jive and Wail, playing great swing and jazz of the 40’s through today including favorites by Louie Prima and The Rat Pack. The free concert series wraps up on Friday, Oct. 8, with The Fab, playing their classic Beatles tribute.

All concerts are free, held outdoors, under the stars in the Town Center fountain area at Barley’s, selling Barley’s own award winning, micro brewed beer with a great BBQ all day.
