Revenge comes for BYU

Sep 28, 2004 10:59 AM

It comes to that time of the season where you can start to look at past performance to make an educated decision on a game. BYU plays at Fort Collins this week, but this definitely is not a vintage Sonny Lubick outfit.

Colorado State has not beaten anybody of note and Lubick still wishes he can go back to Week 1 and try some different play calling against Colorado. Justin Holland figures about four points less than Bradlee Van Pelt, the guy he replaced. BYU’s win now against Notre Dame looks even better. Also, playing superior teams in USC, Stanford and Boise State helps the Cougars cause.

I would think BYU circled this date in the locker room as a reminder of last year’s score. In case the Cougars forgot, it was CSU 58-13. The Stardust opened the host Rams as a 5½ favorite. I don’t think it will be that high come game time so I will try to get a good number that in my estimation is going to drop. Let’s take a chance on a mini-dog, where the altitude won’t bother them. We will play the revenge situation and possibly the best team. BYU.
