Stardust debuts slot tournament

Oct 12, 2004 1:13 AM

More than $30,000 in prize money will be awarded to winners in the "Neon Nights of Las Vegas" slot tournament at the Stardust Resort and Casino, Nov. 22-24.

The Stardust added the November event to its schedule to accommodate the demand from slot players seeking to participate in the resort’s popular tournament program. Most Stardust slot tournaments are held for invited guests, but "Neon Nights," which features a $10,000 first prize, will be open to all players.

The Stardust has awarded more than $800,000 to slot tournament players this year.

The $299 entry fee will include a three-night stay in a deluxe Stardust tower room and invitations to a registration party and an awards banquet.

The registration party will be held on Nov. 22, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Stardust Conference Center. Competition will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. Prize money will be awarded at a Wednesday night banquet in the Stardust Ballroom.
